Sustainable single-family home in Yogyakarta integrating passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, and bamboo composite roofing. Bachelor thesis project.
Click to viewI'm Citra Wijaya, a fresh graduate Architect from Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, with a focus on sustainable design and heritage-sensitive contemporary architecture.
With hands-on experience through internships at major Indonesian architecture firms, my work explores how vernacular building techniques can integrate with modern sustainability frameworks — combining computational design tools (Rhino + Grasshopper) with site-responsive planning.
Joined Andramatin Studio Jakarta for 3-month internship. Contributed to design documentation for 2 mixed-use projects in Jakarta + Bali — produced schematic plans, 3D massing studies in Rhino, and renderings in V-Ray. Attended weekly design crits with senior architects.
Part-time role at Atelier Cosmas Gozali — supported residential project documentation, prepared planning permit drawings (IMB), and assisted on construction administration site visits in Bandung area.
Sustainable architecture firm in Yogyakarta. Assisted lead architect on tropical climate-responsive design for 3 villa projects in Bali. Produced energy simulation studies using Climate Consultant + DesignBuilder.
GPA 3.74/4.00 (Cum Laude). Concentration: Sustainable Architecture & Heritage Conservation. Bachelor thesis on passive cooling techniques for tropical residential design. Active in Studio Hijau UII student group + IMA (Ikatan Mahasiswa Arsitektur).
Mathematics & Natural Sciences track. Active in school architecture/drawing club. Participated in inter-school design competition 2019.
Led 18-member student division focused on sustainable architecture initiatives. Organized 3 community workshops on tropical building techniques + 1 inter-university design hackathon (180+ participants). Established annual sustainability lecture series with IAI Yogyakarta.
Co-founded student collective focused on community architecture projects. Coordinated 2 pro bono renovations for local schools in Bantul + organized public sketching events at Tugu Jogja. Featured in Tempo magazine campus profile (Mar 2023).
Volunteered as design lead for community-driven facade redesign of 12 households in Kampung Code, Yogyakarta. Conducted participatory design workshops + produced final installation drawings. Reduced ambient temperature 12% per measurements.
